Wongaburra's Horses
Gentle & Respectful partners ...

'Jo Cool' - Buckskin Appaloosa gelding - Born 1995 RBI horsenality.
Jo has level 4 in the Parelli program in all 4 areas of study (ground and ridden) He excels at Liberty, and loves to do things slowly and with a lot of 'retreat'.  He has competed in Stockman's challenge, has campaigned as a demo horse at many big public events and has been owned by Justin and Chris since 2000.

'Durango' Buckskin QH gelding - Born 2009 LBI/E horsenality.   (Pre-ride training and first rides by Chris Corbidge)
Durango was given to Chris as a yearling by the Parelli student who bred and raised him.  He is a fun, playful horse who loves to explore new environments and excels at trail riding.  Chris is developing him for 'Extreme Cowboy' and 'Stockman's Challenge' competitions, which he has a natural talent for.  He has a very busy mind, but is more 'whoa' than 'go'. Durango has been out for exposure in public at Henty Field Days, Balmoral Stockman's Challenge and at Parelli demos. He has also been leased by advanced students for Supercamps. His friendly and confident nature makes him very popular and he excels at playing 'soccer'...he has learned to 'fetch' the ball!  He is the entertainer and the leader of his sibling group.  He has a younger brother and 3 sisters living with him at Wongaburra.

'Bree' Cremello QH mare (full sister to Durango & Easy)  Born 2011 RBI/LBI horsenality. (pre-ride training and first rides by Justin Corbidge)
Bree has had the best starts in life for a horse, born and bred into the Parelli program and developed by Parelli professionals, she is a product of 'Savvy Horsemanship'.  Bree is more 'whoa' than 'go' and excels at trail riding.  She is being groomed for a job as 'teacher' and has already been in our 'lease horse' program with selected students.  Bree's natural easy going, confident nature will make her a great partner for helping our customers gain confidence.  Justin continues to develop her as she matures into an adult horse.

'Harmony' Buckskin QH mare (half sister to Durango, Bree & Easy) Born at Wongaburra in October 2012, LBI/RBI horsenality.  (birth to pre-ride training by Chris & first rides by Justin Corbidge)
Harmony's inquisitive and friendly nature makes her a favourite with visitors, and she is shaping up just like her big brother Durango to have a natural talent for obstacle courses, trail riding and will be developed into a 'teacher' horse.  She is in her early days under saddle, and is proving to be just as confident and 'laid back' as her older brother and sister with the focus of her training now being 'exposure and experience' so that she has a well rounded education as she begins her career in our lease horse program.

'Easy Peasy' Cremello QH gelding (full sister to Durango & Bree) Born at Wongaburra December 2012 RBI horsenality.  (Birth - pre-ride training and first rides by Chris Corbidge)
'Easy' lives up to his name, he is the youngest (and sweetest) of our herd.  He is very mild spirited, and tends to hang back and stay out of the 'action' in the herd - unlike his more rambunctious buckskin brother and sister! Easy just loves to hang out with humans for grooming and 'timeout' best of all. He is never far from his sisters and brother in the paddock, and depends on 'others' for leadership.  He is making good progress with his pre-ride & first ride training, and is physically more mature now.  He is our son Gabe's favourite, he is looking forward to riding him later when he is ready to 'fill in' for someone with less experience.  Easy's 'forte' will be for doing arena sessions with students who like to take it slow and have adventures in small doses, but we be including trail riding to stretch his scope during training.  He is proving very brave on the obstacle challenges, building his confidence in 'new things' is helping him become a great partner for his humans in the future.

'Buddy' Miniature Pony gelding. Born 2008? RBI horsenality.  'Buddyguard' of foals and 'free range' squatter at Wongaburra.  Has his own fb page and loves people with food.  Developed to level 1 groundskills before an accident left him with permanent disability in one front leg.  Taking full advantage of said disability, he now has a full time job annoying Justin and as 'meet and greet' horse on arrival day of camps.  Known to be able to co-erce food out of the most dominant horses ever to visit, and not too proud to pull their feed buckets out of their yard when they are not looking.  Has ninja skills and likes to chew on our back door to gain entrance for treats. Is not amused by practical jokes...who's idea was those Easter Ears?  Tolerates humans because they provide food on occasion.  A favourite with tiny humans, but don't ask him to do anything - he's on compo.
