'Durango' Buckskin QH gelding - Born 2009 LBI/E horsenality. (Pre-ride training and first rides by Chris Corbidge)
Durango was given to Chris as a yearling by the Parelli student who bred and raised him. He is a fun, playful horse who loves to explore new environments and excels at trail riding. Chris is developing him for 'Extreme Cowboy' and 'Stockman's Challenge' competitions, which he has a natural talent for. He has a very busy mind, but is more 'whoa' than 'go'. Durango has been out for exposure in public at Henty Field Days, Balmoral Stockman's Challenge and at Parelli demos. He has also been leased by advanced students for Supercamps. His friendly and confident nature makes him very popular and he excels at playing 'soccer'...he has learned to 'fetch' the ball! He is the entertainer and the leader of his sibling group. He has a younger brother and 3 sisters living with him at Wongaburra. Durango is a born 'bush basher' and is Chris' reliable 'trail boss' horse. |
'Harmony' Buckskin QH mare (half sister to Durango, Bree & Easy) Born at Wongaburra in October 2012, LBI/RBI horsenality. (birth to pre-ride training by Chris & first rides by Justin Corbidge)
Harmony's inquisitive and friendly nature makes her a favourite with visitors, and she is shaping up just like her big brother Durango to have a natural talent for obstacle courses, trail riding and will be developed into a 'teacher' horse. She is in her early days under saddle, and is proving to be just as confident and 'laid back' as her older brother and sister with the focus of her training now being 'exposure and experience' so that she has a well rounded education as she begins her career in our lease horse program. |
'Easy Peasy' Cremello QH gelding (full sister to Durango & Bree) Born at Wongaburra December 2012 RBI horsenality. (Birth - pre-ride training and first rides by Chris Corbidge)
'Easy' lives up to his name, he is the youngest (and sweetest) of our herd. He is very mild spirited, and tends to hang back and stay out of the 'action' in the herd - unlike his more rambunctious buckskin brother and sister! Easy just loves to hang out with humans for grooming and 'timeout' best of all. He is never far from his sisters and brother in the paddock, and depends on 'others' for leadership. He is making good progress with his ridden training, and is physically fully mature now. He is our son Gabe's favourite, he is looking forward to riding him later when he is ready to 'fill in' for someone with less experience. Easy's 'forte' will be for doing arena sessions with students who like to take it slow and have adventures in small doses, but we be including trail riding to stretch his scope during training. He is proving very brave on the obstacle challenges, building his confidence in 'new things' is helping him become a great partner for his humans in the future. |
